Iowa 80 Super Truck Showroom

The expansion of the larger than life Iowa 80 World’s Largest Truckstop.

A tourist trap already, this new 67,000 SF retail space provides a home for chrome and stainless parts, lighting, a/v, clothing and many other trucking accessories to be viewed and fully customized. The Super Truck Showroom also includes three semi trucks and a custom light wall and vinyl shop on display. The big rigs sport the latest accessories, including a full size trailer with custom Iowa 80 mural and a semi truck on a giant turntable that constantly spins around. The Super Truck Showroom teaches the general public about the trucking industry and it’s history as well.

Part of the goal of this project was to unify so many different amenities throughout the property into a cohesive environmental brand. The parking lot alone can hold over 900 semi trucks, and there is plenty of heavy traffic. This led our team at WDW to not only design the architectural expansion, but also update the overall Iowa 80 branding and wayfinding scheme throughout all facilities, including the main I80 interstate signage.
